Introduction to Service Design for Flutter Group

A two-day introductory service design course in Porto, Portugal for Flutter Group's European Design Team, covering stakeholder management, journey maps, service blueprints and prototyping.

The context Flutter Group is one of the world's largest online gaming and sports betting companies, bringing together brands such as Paddy Power, Betfair, PokerStars and Sky Betting & Gaming. The European Design Team needed a shared, practical introduction to service design — a way to connect the dots between individual design specialisms and the broader experience their customers move through. The brief was to help the team understand the mindset, methods and vocabulary of service design, and to leave with tools they could apply back in their day to day work. What we did Gerry Scullion delivered a two day, on site Introduction to Service Design course in Porto, Portugal for Flutter Group's European Design Team. The course was designed to be practical, collaborative and hands on, covering: 1. Service design thinking and doing. The difference between thinking about services systemically and actually making change happen inside a complex organisation. 2. Stakeholder Management and Stakeholder Maps. How to identify the people, teams and systems that shape a service, and how to map their relationships, interests and influence. 3. Journey Maps. How to research, build and use journey map
