A two-day advanced service design training course for Flutter Group at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, focusing on hands-on service-level prototyping with Lego and Playmobil Pro.
The context A year after the introduction to service design in Porto, Flutter Group's European Design Team was ready to go deeper. The team had built a shared vocabulary and was now looking for a more advanced, hands on way to explore and communicate service level ideas — especially the kind of ideas that are hard to capture in screens and flows alone. The brief was to move from understanding service design to actually prototyping services: making intangible experiences tangible so they could be explored, tested and refined with colleagues and stakeholders. What we did Gerry Scullion led a two day, advanced service design training course at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin , bringing together 38 delegates from across Europe . The course was designed to be practical and physical, focusing on service level prototyping and the tools that make it possible. The core themes included: 1. Service level prototyping. Moving beyond screen based prototypes to model the whole service experience — including people, processes, touchpoints, environments and interactions over time. 2. Prototyping with Lego and Playmobil Pro. Using physical prototyping tools to quickly build, test and iterate on service
